Revlon Makeup:$36.66 Worth of Makeup for $4.91!

I had no intention of buying any makeup today, but while at CVS a few things happened to make it pretty irresistible!

First, the Revlon sale was Buy $10 worth of makeup, get $4 in ECB (Extra Care Bucks that you can spend at a later date).

Secondly, when I scanned my Extra Care Card at the "Magic Coupon Machine" I got a coupon for $3 off of a $10 makeup Purchase!

I bought 2 Revlon Color Stay Under Eye Concealers, and 3 Revlon Fabulash Mascaras- totaling over $36.66 in Retail cost

The sale discount was 75% off and then I used my $3 off coupon from the "Magic Coupon Machine"

I paid out of pocket, $8.91 (still a great deal!!)

FBI Arrests "The Coupon Guy" for Coupon Fraud!

Lucas Townsend Henderson, 22, known as “The Coupon Guy”, Coupons Thumb was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation yesterday and charged with counterfeit coupon related crimes (wire fraud and trafficking in counterfeit goods). Henderson allegedly distributed counterfeit coupons and an instruction manual on how to make counterfeit coupons via a website best known for child pornography and racist and anti-Semitic images. Many of the website’s participants engaged in active discussions about how to best exploit the counterfeit coupons and what kinds of excuses to use if caught.

If convicted, Henderson faces up to 30 years in prison and financial penalties.

Henderson spent the last several years at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), majoring in computer science with a focus on computer security and forensics. He worked at RIT’s Information & Technology Services’ Help Desk. Ironically, Henderson’s resume includes a reference to taking a class entitled Ethics in IT. It is our hope that RIT will take appropriate actions.

“How to Make Coupons,” a 45-page tutorial on designing coupons that would “scan at most any store in the U.S.,” thus tricking retailers.

The manual opens with a page listing “The 6 Commandments of Coupon Making,” including the admonition that the tutorial not be uploaded “to any permanent hosting.” Instead, the document should be shared on “anonymous image boards” (like 4chan) where “posts expire after a period of time.” Placing the tutorial at a permanent online location “makes it much easier for companies and moral assholes to come across them and warn stores about them.”
According to a U.S. District Court complaint sworn by FBI Agent Andre Cicero, the bureau has been probing the distribution over the Internet of counterfeit coupons designed to look like ones offered on smartsource.com, which is produced by News America Marketing, a subsidiary of Murdoch’s media conglomerate.

New Rite Aid Coupon Policy!

Thanks, Krazy Coupon Lady!

Here is Rite Aid’s new coupon policy which clarifies many points. There are now more restrictions on BOGO promotions and coupons. Also, customers will be limited to 4 like coupons per shopping trip.
If you shop Rite Aid, even occasionally, you MUST print this policy to keep in your binder!

Rite Aid – Coupon Acceptance Updated 5/25/11

To Our Valued Customers:
Rite Aid gladly accepts the following coupon types as detailed in the coupon acceptance guidelines listed below:

COUPON TYPES:

Manufacturer Coupons

Manufacturer coupons are found in newspapers, magazines and even affixed to products. The UPC on these coupons begins with a “5.”

Rite Aid Manufacturer Coupons

Rite Aid Manufacturer coupons generally appear in our weekly circular, on our website and are sent to customers via e-mail. These coupons are labeled “manufacturer coupon” and have a UPC that begins with “49.”
Rite Aid Valuable Coupons

Rite Aid coupons are labeled “variable coupon” and have a UPC that begins with “48.”
Internet/Print at Home coupons

Rite Aid will accept Internet/print at home coupons up to the equivalent value of $5.00 off.
A Rite Aid coupon (with the Rite Aid logo) is NOT considered an Internet coupon (even if printed off the Internet) and is therefore not subject to the $5.00 maximum.

+UP Reward Coupons

+UP Reward coupons are special coupons earned by a customer in a prior purchase that can be used for any nonprescription purchase with a small number of exclusions that are listed on the +UP coupon. Multiple +UP coupons can be used (subject to the printed exclusions) up to the amount of purchase before sales tax.
Buy One, Get One Free

Rite Aid accepts Buy One, Get One Free coupons, however only one coupon can be used for each pair of items purchased. A customer can use one “cents off” coupon in conjunction with the item they are purchasing on a Buy One Get One Free promotion (or with a Buy One Get One Free coupon), although the value of the cents off coupon cannot exceed the selling price of the item.
Buy One Get One Free coupons cannot be used in conjunction with a Buy One Get One Free promotion.

Total Purchase Coupons

Rite Aid may feature total purchase coupons which discount the total purchase amount based upon meeting specific requirements. For example, $5 off a $25 purchase price threshold coupon.
These coupons are accepted under the following conditions:
The coupon is valid and in date; only one total purchase coupon per transaction.
Total purchase equals or exceeds $25 before tax (before any coupons are applied).
Coupons for individual items can also be used including another “48″ coupon that is tied to an item in the transaction.
Provided the total of items purchased is equal to or greater than the purchase requirement, other coupons can be used in conjunction with the total purchase coupon.

ACCEPTANCE GUIDELINES:

General Guidelines:

Coupons must be valid and in date; Coupons cannot be exchanged for cash.
Register will validate coupon through scanning or keyed entry of the coupon UPC number.
In the event that any item’s selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Rite Aid will accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is allowed.
When making a return for a product that had a coupon attached, Rite Aid cannot refund cash for the value of the coupon and cannot return the coupon that was used.
Rite Aid reserves the right to not accept any coupon where the validity or the coupon cannot be established.

Multiple Coupons

More than one coupon can be used on the purchase of a single item under the following conditions:
All coupons match the item being purchased.
The total of the coupons is equal to or less than the selling price of the item before sales tax.
No more than one “48″ Rite Aid valuable coupon, one “49″ Rite Aid Manufacturer coupon, and one “5″manufacturer coupon can be used on a single item.

****Rite Aid may accept up to 4 identical coupons for the same number of qualifying items as long as there is sufficient stock to satisfy other customers within the store manager’s sole discretion. ****

**** This, to me, is the most important change to the policy. This will limit how many items we can purchase with coupons at one time, however, it will hopefully allow for HOT sale items to stay on the shelves for everyone to purchase :)

Smart and Final: Great Finds and How to Shop!

I popped into Smart and Final the other day just to see what was there! I scored a few great deals!

Here are some tips for shopping the restaurant supply type stores:

Look for Clearance!

Smart and Final (at least the one near me) always has baked goods on clearance for 50% off - and they are good! I picked up a dutch crunch apple pie yesterday for $1.49. An ENTIRE PIE!

They are always marking down their fresh produce, lettuce, salad fixings etc. as they near expiration. If you eat veggies its a great way to get a good variety for a low cost. I got a pack of Zucchini Squash with 6 HUGE squash for $1.99. They were $1.99 per lb other places.

Look for Larger Quantities of things you use most:
Sometimes Bigger is better (but not always!). Compare the unit price to that of the stores where you regularly shop. If the unit price is cheaper, it's a better deal to go bigger!

Canned items like beans and veggies are often cheaper in larger cans. For instance, My family loves beans- black beans, pinto, white and kidney- my husband cooks with them all the time. A small can of black beans can cost me $1 on a good shopping day (not so many coupons available for beans I guess). I found large can (equal to 3 smaller cans) for $1.99 - sale price at Smart and Final. Much better deal than buying 3 smaller cans!

Check the Meat Dept!
I found Chicken Quarters for $.99 a lb! WAY Cheaper than anywhere else I have been recently!

Unfortunately, you can't use coupons at Smart and Final and places like it, so it's good to check them on occasion for those good deals!

Please tell me what deals you have found at Smart and Final! Comments are always welcome!

Target Clearance, Cheap Mustard, Potatoes, Deodorant and More!

I stopped into another local Target today (I rotate them, to see what deals each have - like clearance!) and was pleasantly surprised to find lots on clearance today!

Look for the RED Clearance Tags in the Frozen Foods and grocery isles!

There were TONS on clearance! My favorite today was Bags of Frozen Hashbrown Potatoes for $1.12 (Market Pantry Brand).

Be on the look out for $.50 Peelies on French's Brown Mustard! Target had them for $1.04 today and with the coupon, they were $.54 !

Also, on Price Cut, was Betty Crocker Boxed Potatoes for $1.02- I had $1.00 off/2 boxes coupons making them $.50!

While I was there I picked up the Sure Deodorant - on sale for $1.50 and I used $1.00 coupons and Old Spice Body Wash 2 Packs- on clearance for $3.40, and using $1.00 off Target, $1.00 off 2 MFC, and a B1G1 Free- making it $.74 for each 2 pack!

OH! And I used the $1.00 mobile coupon on the Philadelphia Cooking Cream along with my $1.50 off MFC making the cooking cream $.50!

There were more great deals, but I couldn't get to them all today!

Happy shopping!

"Cheap" Gas at Safeway!

Yes, that's right... I said $3.89 is CHEAP for gas! Here in Sacramento, CA, gas is coming down but it was nearly $5 a gallon and has been steadily decreasing this past week or so. Today, I found the cheapest gas to be $3.99/gal at Arco and Safeway! Yes, Safeway!

We have several Safeway Stores with gas stations in our area. The other day when I checked out at Safeway, the clerk reminded me that I had "earned" $.10/gal credit from my shopping there! I remembered that today, and got my gas for $3.89/gal! WOOHOO!

Be sure to check your receipts- it should be listed at the bottom, how many gas rewards you have earned and the date in which to use them by!

$.25 Oscar Meyer Cracker Combos

My sister, caught this deal today: Oscar Meyer Cracker Combo's (similar to a Lunchable) are on sale $4/5. She remembered she had recent coupons for $1 off making them $.25 each!

Best Safeway Shopping Trip YET!

If you haven't registered your club card with the Just4U program online at Safeway.com, I HIGHLY Recommend that you do and check it before each shopping trip!!

Because of my personalized deals, I was able to save way more at Safeway, that I normally would using my coupons in combination with the store sales, club card discounts and in store-ad coupons.

Here are some of the deals:

Ragu Sauce- B1G1 (w/ club card) - Personalized Price, $1.40 ($.70 each)

Pedigree Dog Food: Regularly $17.99 - I paid $7.99-
There was a $4 Card Savings, $3 Just4U Savings and there was a $3 off Manufacturers Coupon ON THE BAG it's self! (I had a $2 off coupon, but am saving that for later!)

Kraft Deli Cheese- BIG SLICES- B1G1 Sale- PLUS A coupon Machine in front of the cheese with $1 off Big Slices = $2.49 FOR 2 packages!

Colgate toothpaste- On Sale $.99 each- I had $.75 off coupons making then $.25 each!

Oscar Meyer Cutting Board Lunch Meat- Regular Price $4.99. My Just4U Price, $2.49 and there are peelies for $1 off when you buy Oscar Meyer Bacon! Result, they were $1.49 each!

I bought a lot more and my total bill was $37.56. OVER 66% Savings!

Act II Movie Popcorn Singles 75% off at Rite Aid

Check your Rite Aid! I bought Act II popcorn singles for $.22 each. That was cheaper than buying a box of Act II (with 3 packages) that was on sale!

I Made Money at Walgreens! And Free Toothbrushes, Tape, Cheap Gelatin ...

I saved $18.87 at Walgreen's today and actually MADE money leaving the store! I am so excited! This is my first time actually MAKING money by leaving a store with almost $20 worth of merchandise!

I just stopped into Walgreens - unprepared- so I hadn't scoped out the deals before I went (I don't recommend this). But even without preparation, I headed in with my coupons and saved anyway!

I picked up a can of French's French Fried Onions- on clearance for $1.59. I used my $.75 off coupon paying a total of $.84

I then got 5 Royal Gelatin's for $1 using the in-ad coupon (good through 5/21).

I also had a Scotch 3M Magic Tape Coupon for $1 off one- and Walgreen's had an in-ad coupon for buy one, get 2 (yes 2) FREE! I bought one at $1.99, got 2 free and $1 off- paying $.33 each :)

The Best Deal, by far, were the FREE Reach Tooth Brushes! They were on clearance for .99 and I had $2/2 Single Brushes so I got them for FREE! The Bonus: I got $4 to spend on my next purchase at Walgreens!!

The Krazy Coupon Lady explains this best (had I checked her site before my trip, I would have know!): There is a Catalina promotion going on right now for Reach toothbrushes through 6/12. Walgreens would be a good place to take advantage of this deal. The Reach toothbrushes there are only $0.99 through 5/28. First, here’s the details of the Catalina:

Buy 2, Receive $1.00 Register Reward
Buy 3, Receive $2.00 Register Reward
Buy 4, Receive $4.00 Register Reward

Here’s how to make some money when you buy Toothbrushes:

Reach Toothbrushes $0.99
Buy 4, Receive $4.00 Register Reward, Limit 1
Use 4 $1.00/1 Reach Toothbrushes from SS 4/17
Or use 2 $2.00/2 Reach Toothbrushes from SS from 5/8
Pay $0.00, Receive $4.00 Register Reward
Final Price: $4.00 Moneymaker

My total out the door was $3.46 for 16 items and I got $4 back to boot!

Walmart's Ad Match Guarantee

Here is a great synopsis of Walmart's Ad Match Guarantee in layman's (or woman's)terms:

Our Ad Match Guarantee

We’re committed to providing low prices every day. On everything. So if you find a lower advertised price on an identical product, tell us and we’ll match it. Right at the register.
We gladly match the price in the following types of ads:*

* Buy one, get one free ads with a specified price
* Example: Buy one for $2.49, get one free (BOGO)

* Competitors' ads that feature a specific item for a specified price at a specific retailer
* Example: $2.99

* Preferred shopping card advertised prices for specific item
* that are in a printed ad and require a competitor's shopping card for the discount to apply

* For fresh produce and meat items
* when the price is offered in the same unit type (lb. for lb.; each for each)

*The following are guidelines and limitations:

* We will match any local competitor's advertised price.
* We do not require customers to have the ad with them to honor a competitor's ad.
* Items purchased must be identical to the ad (size, quantity, brand, flavor, color, etc.)

We DO NOT match the price in the following types of competitor ads:

* Items that require a separate purchase to get the ad price
* example: "Buy [item A] to get [item B] for $C"

* Items with no actual price that require a purchase to get free product
* example: "Buy both [items A & B] to get [item C] for free"

* Items that require a purchase to get a competitors' gift card
* example: "Buy [item A] to get a $B gift card

* Buy one, get one free (BOGO) ads with no actual price given
* Going out of business or closeout prices
* Percentage off
* example: "All mascara, 40% off"

* Competitors' private label price promotions

We do not honor:

* Ads when the actual price for items cannot be determined.
* Internet pricing
* Misprinted ad prices of other retailers
* Competitor ads from outside of the store's local trade territory

Was Coupon Fraud Committed on TLC's Extreme Couponing Show?

This is a very disturbing article but it looks very credible considering the evidence they provide on how one of the highlighted "Couponers" fraudulently used coupons for one product on other products of a similar "family" to maximize the savings.

It makes for a very interesting read! Check out CrazyCoupons take on this!

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

How I Shop: I Have Coupons, Now What? Part 1 Mindset

It has taken me about 6 months to start really understanding how to best utilize all of these coupons that I have been collecting!

Mindset has been the biggest struggle for me. I have been known to been know to bring home bargains that I didn't really need. Now with couponing, I am getting better because I have raised my standards on what I REALLY think is a good deal.

Here's what I mean: I used to go to a discount store (like Big Lots or Grocery Outlet) and think, "wow, that's a great deal!" However, those stores DON'T take coupons! Since I started my coupon adventure, I have learned that there were more deals (better deals) in the stores that I go to on a regular basis that DO take coupons and put items in my pantry for pennies on the dollar!

Twitter has been a great resource for my learning curve. I began following popular couponing "pros" like @thekrazycouponlady and right there in my twitter feed, were coupon match ups, and suggested shopping scenarios to help me maximize my savings! It really made my life so much easier!

Once I started finding the deals that they were posting about, I had to find the time to get to all of these stores to obtain the deals. Once I made this more of a challenge to myself to see how much money I could save, it became more of a field trip than a shopping trip. I have come to LOVE going to the various stores (some that I had not stepped foot in a LONG time because I THOUGHT they were too expensive).

There is a sort of "high" that you get when you are leaving the store with FREE or really cheap items (especially if they are items I use on a regular basis!).

I have learned some lessons along the way:

* Don't shop in a hurry! I always pay more!
* Don't buy just because you have a coupon! I've done that and I end up spending money on items I don't need which defies the purpose of me couponing!
* Work the sales! Once I got to a point where I wasn't always running out the door to "pick something up" (because I have a good base/Mini-stockpile). Now, I look at what I need, and look at the sale and try to buy more (for less!)
* Don't forget, you can stack coupons! It took me awhile to realize that I could use a store-specific coupon AND a manufacturer coupon to get an even better deal! Places like Target offer online store coupons that I print out and stack with the coupons I have clipped already! It's a great way to save even more!
* De keep an eye out for Clearance items and "Roll Back" (at Walmart) items! This is where I get some of my best deals because the item is not only on sale, but a rock bottom (hopefully) prices, and couple them with my coupons! I especially love this for items I wouldn't normally buy for myself at full price (Makeup, clothing, items I want to try).

Changing my mindset was definitely more than "half the battle" in becoming fully committed to being more frugal and fattening up my wallet!

How I Shop: Stocking Up at Safeway!

I have been fielding a lot of questions from friends, family and readers about finding the best deals, couponing tips and just exactly "how do you do it?"

So, Im going to start a series of blog posts on "How I Shop". I have philosophies that work for me, so feel free to take what you like from it and apply it to your next shopping trip!

Safeway, is a place that I had avoided for a long, long time, as I was on a serious budget and my (mis)perception was that Safeway was one of the more expensive places to shop.

That was BEFORE I discovered the art of couponing AND the added services that Safeway has added to their club card system!

First, I highly recommend that you go online to Safeway.com and register your rewards card (or get one if you don't already have one). When you register your Rewards Card online, you have access to the "Just for U" benefits.

Once registered, you can save time (and money) by:
* adding manufacturers coupons exclusive to Safeway (just click and save)
* add club card reward offers (and Safeway coupons offered in their weekly ads)
* add PERSONALIZED deals Just For U!

Once all of your deals are added, you can print your list (which I highly recommend) or you can make it hard on yourself (like I do with no printer at home) and write a list of products in a notebook that I want to take advantage of.

I then attempt to do some coupon matching of clipped coupons I have at home prior to going shopping.

Once I'm organized, I move up and down the isles and check things off my list! All discounts are taken at the register).

Safeway is famous of their BOGO (buy one get one) offers. I LOVE THESE! You can use Manufacturers Coupons to reduce your price even more!

I especially love their BOGO Meat Sales! I have noticed them twice in the last 6 months. I have been able to save on more expensive cuts of meat and max packs (larger quantities) and been able to stock up my freezer! I budget an extra $100 for this trip, because that means I get $200 in meat (and yes, it actually does make a difference on the per lb price!). This saves me in the long run, because I don't have to budget weekly to buy meat.

Safeway is also known for their SUPER sales on and around holidays. Just recently I was able to get Nabisco snack crackers (Triscuits, Wheat Thins, and Cheeze-Its) for less thatn $1/ box! I took advantage of their sales, my personalized / club card deals, and my clipped coupons!

I stock up on deals where I know the sale price is (at minimum) 50% or more off of the retail price. Because stores are known for upping their prices before applying the sale price, so it just "appears" that it's a good deal. I have been getting REALLY good at eye-balling what things go for at all the other stores that I shop at, so I know comparatively, whether or not it's a good deal.

Hope fully this gives you a little insight into how I tackle (what I consider to be) one of the more complicated stores and how to maximize your savings!

The Down and Dirty on Dishwasher Detergent! Don't Ditch Your Dishwasher Until You Read This!

So my hubby asked me recently "have you noticed our dishes don't seem to be getting as clean these days?" Not having to do much more than load the dishwasher (my lovely Mother In Law usually puts them away) I said "not really". And then he showed me a glass. YUCK! He said he had recently read that dish washing companies were changing their formulas because of a recent ban on the use of a particular additive that actually cleans the dishes!

Today, on a fun outing with the family, a close family friend said, "I ALMOST bought a new dishwasher this week." I said "Almost?" She said, "Yes, I was noticing that my dishes weren't getting clean and I thought something was wrong with my dishwasher. And then, I learned that they have removed the phosphates out of our dish washing detergent."

A light bulb went off in my head-- If SHE was considered replacing a PERFECTLY good dishwasher, for no good reason- all because of a change by the detergent companies, then HOW MANY OTHER people are thinking the same thing? Hence, the blog post!

It turns out that in July of last year, many states adopted a phosphate ban in dishwasher soaps! Phosphate, unbeknown to me, is the main cleaning agent in our trusty old detergent, and is apparently unhealthy for our environment (apparently it promotes algae growth).

Not all states have banned it (in fact my own state, California has not yet joined the ban). But the manufacturers of these products decided not to create just a "phosphate free" formula but decided to reformulate their products for all 50 states!

So, there you go! Don't go out and replace your dishwasher! It's not their fault! You can read the complete article here

Here are some tips for improving your "Clean Factor" despite the formula change in your detergent:

* Add a cap full or two of white vinegar to your load! That helps keep your glassware sqeeky clean!
* Use a Dishwasher Cleaner every 6 months
* Use a Water Softener
* Try adding some citric acid to your loads

Tell us your favorite "dish washing" tips! Just don't ditch your dishwasher!

Walmart Finds 2/11/2011

I've been working on getting better and better at finding deals at my local stores. Yesterday's trip was to Walmart, where I had a coupon for EVERYTHING I bought!

I had some great finds! My husband loves the new Kraft Sandwich Shop Flavored Mayo. Walmart had them for $1.50 (regular price) and I used my .75 coupons/1 and got all 3 flavors for .75 each!

In the rice and pasta isle, I found more great deals! Healthy Harvest and Smart Taste pastas from Ronzoni were $1.08 on Rollback! I had $1 off coupons for the Smart Taste = .08 yes, that is EIGHT cents for each box! I had $1/2 so I got the others for $.58 a box- not too bad!

I then found Uncle Ben's Whole Grain Fast and Natural Rice with a Peelie! The price was $2.18. The Peelie was $.75/1 box and then I had a coupon for an additional $1.00= $.43!

In total with all of my coupons, I save $28.01! Enough for hubby and I to go out and enjoy an early Valentine's Day Dinner!

20 Thoughtful Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas That Won’t Break the Bank

Here are some great ideas from my client, Realtor Clif Hagstadt with Lyon Real Estate in Sacramento, CA!

20 Thoughtful Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas That Won’t Break the Bank

Give the gift of time- make a special effort to spend extra time with the person you love.

Make something- Organize your wife’s recipes into a folder or binder. Take a photo your wife or husband will love and matte it and put it in a frame for them to hang on the wall.

Take over your spouse’s chores for a day-or longer- Give your spouse a “day off” from the cooking, cleaning, or other regular chores. Or better yet, do them for a week. I would love it if my wife took out the trash for a week!

Give them free time- If you have children, offer to watch the kids for a whole day, letting them do whatever they want.

Go out to dinner early early- look for early bird specials, many restaurants offer them regularly, and even more do on Valentine’s day.

Go on out to dinner on another day- Although you may find some good dining deals on V-day, you could end up spending more on Valentine’s Day due to the huge crowds at some places, as it may limit your choices to somewhere more expensive. Consider going on another day.

Go out for a Valentine’s Day lunch- Lunch is almost always cheaper, so you can probably afford to go somewhere even nicer than you would have taken him or her for dinner for the same amount of money.

Go for a walk- Take your husband or wife for a romantic walk somewhere, and bring a bottle of wine.

Plan a picnic- Instead of going out to eat, pack a picnic lunch with some goodies and head out in the afternoon, skipping the dinner out all together.

Go out for drinks and appetizers- to cut back on the full course dinner expense.

Eat in- Another way to skip going out to dinner is to cook a gourmet meal at home.

Give coupons- Not grocery store coupons, of course! Give coupons for a massage, back rub, or other romantic ideas .

Breakfast in bed- Make your valentine a full course breakfast at home and serve it to them in bed.

Make your own card- Spend some time making a nice card, with a personal note written in it.

Pick your own flowers- Don’t take them from somewhere you shouldn’t, but if you have some in your yards, or a friendly neighbor’s yard, pick your own flowers.

Bake something- Bake your partner their favorite dessert or treat.

Write a poem- Write the love of your life a poem, describing how much the mean to you and why you love them.

Make a video, CD, or DVD compilation- My wife is always reminding me to download photos off the camera. Take those photos and put them on a CD or DVD, or take home videos and make a compilation. Or load their MP3 player with some of their favorite songs they don’t have on it yet.

Put together a gift basket- Put together a basket with your wife’s favorite soaps and lotions, or one full of golf accessories for your husband- or other items related to their interests or hobbies.

Take a day trip- Gas is fairly cheap, and if you have a romantic destination within driving distance of your house, such as a beach, the mountains, etc., you can make a day of it.
